How much does it cost to hire?

Horse box bar hire is £250, wooden bar hire is £200. Hire fees are payable upon booking and non-refundable.

The balance on any drink packages chosen is payable one month before the event date.

For a bar service from an existing bar structure or our self serve station, please contact us for a quote.

Whats Included in the hire?

  • Experienced friendly bar staff & mixologist

  • Up to 9 hours of bar service, additional time charged by the hour

  • Consumables: paper straws, ice & garnishes

  • Polycarbonate glassware, all bar drinks served in our range of polycarbonate glasses

  • Beautifully finished, fully equipped & fully stocked bars

  • Card payment system, cash & card accepted

  • Temporary event notice allowing the sale of alcohol at your event

Is there a minimum spend REQUIREMENT?

Usually there is no minimum spend on a pay bar. If you are providing your own alcohol along side our service or your event has a small number of guests we may ask for a minimum spend, please contact us for more information.

What drinks do we serve?

  • Hand pull *cask ales, draft lager

  • Barista coffee & hot drinks (horse box only)

*Please note once cask ale has been opened it must be used within a short time period so we ask for a deposit on the first cask opened, this is refunded in full if empty at the end of your event, remaining ale in the cask is charged at a small fee per pint, options are available for half size casks or bottle ales. The bonus of this is you get to choose your ale! Please ask us for advice and more information.

What do we serve our drinks in?

For private events we use reusable unbreakable polycarbonate glasses, perfect for indoor & outdoor use, these are for the bar drinks only. We do not offer glassware but can put you in touch with great glass hire companies.

For public events we use disposable biodegradable clear cups.

For coffee we use biodegradable cups, lids & stirrers. .

What time can you serve until?

We will discuss this with you before the event, we try to serve for as long as you want us to, this has to be guided by local authorities and the venue.

Do you obtain the Temporary Event Notice (TEN)?

Yes, we will contact the local authorities to book the Temporary Event Notice (TEN). This cost is included in the booking fee. To sell alcohol at an event a Temporary Event Notice is legally required.

How long do you need to set up the bar?

Dependant on the bar and service your require we usually advise 2 hours to set up, where possible we will look to set up the day before.

For venues we haven’t been to we like to visit the venue prior to the event to ensure quick set up and discuss bar position, this allows us to speak with the venue organiser to ensure the event runs smoothly. If it is not possible to see the venue prior to the event we ask for a description of the venue, access and bar position.

How much space is needed for the bar set up?

For The Little Barn horse box bar we require a 3x5 metre space (3.5 metres in height) and enough room to manoeuvre the bar into place with the van towing it.

For our wooden bar we require a 2x2 meter space, additional space may be needed behind dependant on the range of drinks we are serving.

For our cocktail masterclasses all we need is a table to fit you and your guests around!

Does the bar have to be outside?

Not always, if space and access allows we can position the bar in a barn, tipi, marquee or at the entrance to the venue.

Our wooden bar can be positioned outside or inside, we also have a gazebo cover it should it be needed.

Do you require power and water?

Just power, we have our own leads and adapters to plug in. We have our own water supply.

Do you offer dry hire?

We don’t offer dry hire of our bars. If you would like our staff to pour your own drink along side our bar service, this we do offer with a small service charge.

Where are you based and how far will you travel?

We are based in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria. We mainly travel in and around the North West but can travel further a field, please contact us for more information.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we are fully insured with Public Liability.
