Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery was established in 2009. The company owners all share a passion for real ale and were keen to re-establish a local brewery. Kirkby Lonsdale has had brewing at its heart for centuries. They are a company with local values at heart and produce that has proven a hit with all, especially the Hairy Bikers!

In December 2016 Kirkby Lonsdale Brewery opened the doors to their new tap house. Promptly nicknamed 'the barn' they have been overwhelmed with the feedback they have had. The brewery wanted to create a unique venue in the town that all could enjoy. The Royal Barn boasts 12 handpulls and 8 keg taps along with an extensive collection of over sixty different craft beers from around the world. A venue for all occasions.

Kirkby Lonsdale Coffee Roasters is an independent craft coffee roasters located in the Royal Barn in Kirkby Lonsdale, Cumbria. They are a local and passionate project, committed to sourcing the freshest and most exciting single-origin coffee from around the world. Every small-roast batch of Kirkby Lonsdale coffee beans comes with information on the region the beans were produced in and the people responsible for creating this unique product.

Silverholme Manor

The lakes distillery

The Lakes Distillery, Established in 2011, nestles on the north side of the beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake.

The Lake District has long been a crucible for creativity, a place in which imagination can flourish and its no different for Dhavall Gandhi their Whisky and Gin-maker. He takes his inspirations from the World Heritage Site where their distillery has been built meticulously within a 160-year-old farmstead on the bank of the River Derwent. The Lakes gin uses only a few select botanicals, combining together subtle nuances to create a perfectly balanced gin, full of flavour.
